Concrete is porous. Over a few East Texas summers it takes on a gray-green film of algae, dirt, pollen and tire residue — and because it happens slowly, most people don't notice how dark it's gotten until they see it half-cleaned.
The difference between a good concrete job and a bad one is the equipment. A pressure washer wand alone leaves zebra stripes — those alternating light and dark bands from overlapping passes. We use a surface cleaner, which spins two jets under a shroud at a fixed height and cleans in a consistent, even sweep. That's how you get concrete that looks uniformly clean instead of aggressively striped.

Oil, rust and the honest truth about stains
We treat oil spots, rust from sprinklers and lawn furniture, and organic staining with dedicated products before the main clean. Most of it comes out or fades dramatically.
But here's the part a lot of companies won't tell you up front: concrete stains are not all removable. Oil that has been soaking in for ten years has penetrated deep into the slab. Rust can permanently alter the concrete's color. We will always tell you honestly what we expect to get out before you agree to the job — you should never be surprised at the end.
Why it matters more than you think
If you're selling, a clean driveway is one of the cheapest curb-appeal wins available. If you're not, it's still the difference between a house that looks maintained and one that looks tired. And clean concrete is genuinely less slick — algae film is what makes a shaded walkway slippery after rain.

Driveway & Concrete Cleaning FAQs
Will pressure washing damage my concrete?
Not when it's done at the right pressure with a surface cleaner. Damage happens when someone holds a narrow high-pressure tip too close for too long, which etches lines into the surface. Our equipment maintains an even distance and sweep.
Can you get oil stains out?
Usually we can remove or dramatically fade them with a dedicated degreaser. Deep, old oil that's soaked into the slab may not come out completely. We'll tell you honestly what to expect before we start.
What are those stripes I see on other people's driveways?
Those are wand marks — the result of cleaning with a pressure washer wand instead of a surface cleaner. The overlapping passes leave alternating light and dark bands. We use a surface cleaner specifically so that doesn't happen.
How long does a driveway take?
A standard two-car driveway is usually about an hour. Add time for heavy staining, larger slabs, or attached sidewalks and patios.
Do you need to use my water?
Yes, we connect to an outside spigot. Normal residential water pressure is fine. Water use for a typical driveway is comparable to running a few loads of laundry.
