Pavers and flagstone have more surface area and more joints than a poured slab, which makes them a perfect place for moss, weed seed and organic film to take hold. In a shaded East Texas yard a paver walkway can go from warm red brick to uniform green-gray in two or three seasons.
The good news is that color is still there. Underneath the moss, the brick is the same brick it always was. Cleaning pavers is one of the most dramatic before-and-afters in this whole trade.

A note on joint sand
Cleaning pavers will move some of the sand out of the joints — that's unavoidable, and any company telling you otherwise isn't being straight with you. What matters is managing it: we clean at a pressure appropriate to the paver and the joint condition, and we'll tell you up front if your patio looks like it will need re-sanding afterward so you can plan for it.
Moss and weeds in the joints
We treat organic growth rather than just blasting it out, so it doesn't come racing back within a few weeks. Weeds growing through joints usually indicate the joint sand has washed out over time — worth addressing once the surface is clean.

Will cleaning wash the sand out of my paver joints?
Some sand will always come out — that's true of any paver cleaning. We work at an appropriate pressure to minimize it, and we'll tell you up front if your patio is likely to need re-sanding so it isn't a surprise.
Can you clean stamped or colored concrete?
Yes, carefully. Stamped and colored concrete often has a sealer or color hardener that can be damaged by aggressive pressure, so we adjust our approach for it. Let us know when you call.
Will the moss come back?
Much slower than if it were just blasted off. We treat the organic growth rather than only removing what's visible, which sets it back considerably.
Can you clean flagstone?
Yes. Flagstone and natural stone need a gentler approach than brick, particularly on softer sandstone. We adjust pressure to the material.
